Brief

E! took over the People’s Choice Awards for the first time in 2018 and needed a full social and motion-first visual identity to support their broadcast and digital coverage. Our team was tasked with creating thousands of assets across Instagram, Snapchat, and Twitter, all while matching a strict brand guide from E! and delivering on rapid timelines.As Art Director, I developed initial motion systems flexible enough to work across dozens of categories, with nominee counts ranging from a few to many. I delegated execution to my design and motion teams while managing approvals directly with NBCUniversal executives. We also handled “live capture” during the show, clipping moments in real time and posting directly to E!’s social channels.

Results

⮑ Delivered thousands of on-brand social assets under tight deadlines, enabling E! to successfully debut as the new home of the People’s Choice Awards.


⮑ Built flexible motion and design templates that were reused in later years, evolving but retaining the core structure I helped establish.


⮑ Drove massive live engagement during broadcast, with memes, clips, and stickers approved and posted within minutes.


⮑ Work contributed to reach of over 14M households.
